I was able to use the Ivation Heavy Duty Snow Pusher this past week, and was truly impressed. I have been researching at high end snow pushers for a couple of years of years, and decided to try this one out. It had a good price as compared to other similar/not so similar types of pushers and shovels. I paid around $65 for this snow pusher, and it was money well spent. I was able to clear my drive, a neighbors, my girlfriends, and her neighbors drive and sidewalk, in two days. The two days was my choice. I could have done it in one day but didn’t want to drive in the snow. I got between 6-8 inches of snow total last Friday, and I shoveled pushed my drive 3 times, with very little effort. I shoveled my neighbors drive when it was about 5 inches (double drive, 50 feet on a steep incline) with slightly more effort (received 2 lbs shelled walnuts in recompense for my efforts). I am not dreading snow now. I always shovel my drive when it snows. Why? I don’t know. It is something I feel is my duty as a man.
Now for the actual review of the snow pusher. When I got the package, I opened it up and started to put it together. Followed the instructions (which is slightly unusual for me) and found they had sent two wrong sized washers for the wheels. The very small set of instructions called for a washer on each side of wheel. I called customer service and left a message informing them of this problem. Was I going to wait for them to send me 2 washers to fix the problem? No, I was going to go up to the store and get a couple of washers to finish the job. .98 cents – job done. Never got a call back from customer service.
Is it sturdy? Will it last? It is mostly plastic except for the handle. The plastic pieces are re-inforced with metal at all connections. The wear strip may have to be replaced in a few years. If you are in an area that gets more snow, wear strip replacement may be a yearly thing. It takes me about 5 years to wear out a snow shovel here in Kentucky. I think this Ivation snow pusher will last me several years. I would hate to think that I won’t be able to use it from here on out. This snow pusher takes a lot of pain out of shoveling snow. I even took this out into my street to clear out the asphalt in front of my drive. Very little back strain with this snow pusher. The wheels really help.
Speaking of wheels, they need to go on a certain way. If they are touching anything when you put them on, flip them around. It is not stated in the assembly instructions.
If you live somewhere where you get a lot of snow, you may be pushing your drive a few times, as it snows. It will work fine for me here.
Would I buy this again? Yes, I would. If I change my mind, I will re-visit this review and let you all know.

I am glad that I got this snow pusher. I had it assembled one day before our first snow. I am 70 years old and had no difficulty assembling it. The only thing that threw me off was they sent 2 packages of everything needed.
The instructions could have been about twice the size as what they are too, as old eyes have difficulty seeing teeny tiny pictures. 🙂 I would recommend the snow pusher. 🙂

Used it this morning on a wet snowfall of probably 3-4 inches. To clear the driveway takes 2 or 3 passes because the snow pushes off to the side. The technique I found for the sidewalk was to push arcs of snow into the street and then come back and get the leftovers. A wide pusher shovel moves the snow about as well, but the wheels make this one a lot easier to use, easier on your back, and significantly faster. I’m 6’3″ and at full extension the handle is long enough for me, although I’d like it better if it was an inch or two more. A lot of these wheeled shovels have handles for short people, this one is a little longer than most. My main concern is that I don’t know how long it will last; the blade is plastic and there is no structural support for the wheels and handle other than the blade itself. It also tends to catch in cracks, but that isn’t a flaw, it’s just a result of the blade angle. I found that if you push the handle down to lift the blade just before you hit the crack it will clear the crack. But it leaves a little line of snow there. Overall it was a good purchase. If it falls apart or the blade splits after a few uses, I may change my mind. Update 12/19/2016: Still glad I purchased it, but I did find that the metal blade edge wears out after one season. I used it this weekend and part of the blade edge broke away. I fixed it by drilling out the rivets and replacing the blade with a 1/8″ thick steel bar from Lowe’s. I think this is actually better than the original blade, probably will last longer. If your concrete driveway or sidewalk is smoother than mine, you may get longer life out of the blade. And for the wear and tear on my back, I’d probably still buy one even if I had to replace it every year or two. But now that I’ve got the original blade removed and my fabricated replacement is bolted on, I can replace it again in the time it takes me to cut and drill a new metal bar. So I expect to get a few seasons out of it. I still think the product is good, although I’m knocking off one star for the short blade life. I’ve attached a picture of the damaged blade that I replaced. The product would be better if the blade was replaceable without drilling, but I’m sure that using bolts would significantly raise production cost. I do have two neighbors who say they are going to buy one, after they saw me using it. So the benefits of the product are obvious.
